Bill Beaumont,
a rugby player with a colossal reputation as a former captain of
England and the British Lions, who led his English team to the
Grand Slam in 1980 and went on to regularly star as a captain in
A Question of Sport on BBC TV, has now taken over ownership of
Bill Beaumont Marquees (formerly Marquees of Distinction).
The company
is managed by Bill's son Sam, who, following his father’s
passion for rugby, also plays for and is captain of Fylde RFC.
In 2011 Sam
led his club to win the National league 2 North and to promotion
to National league 1 (third tier of English Rugby). Sam
has also played for Lancashire, England Counties and The Barbarians.
